Introduction
Congratulations on your purchase of the Harmony 8150 802.11a PCI Card. The
Harmony 8150 802.11a PCI Card is a long range, high performance, wireless LAN
adapter card that complies with the IEEE 802.11a standard. In addition, the PCI Card
supports 2X
TM
mode, which provides data rates of up to 108 Mbps.
The Harmony 802.11a PCI Card supports Windows 2000, Windows Millennium Edition
(ME), and Windows 98 Second Edition (SE). Computers with the Harmony 802.11a PCI
Card installed “look” like standard network nodes to the operating system.
The Harmony 8150 802.11a PCI Card complies with the IEEE 802.11a standard for
wireless networking devices. This means that the PCI Card is interoperable with IEEE
802.11a equipment from any manufacturer when operating in 802.11a mode.
The Harmony 802.11a PCI Card can be used with other 802.11a devices to form a
stand-alone wireless Ad Hoc network or used in conjunction with a Harmony
infrastructure to provide mobile clients with wireless access to an Ethernet network.
