7. Click <Next> to continue once the Add New Hardware Wizard locates the
Symphony driver file.
8. When prompted, click <Finish>.
9. Open the My Computer icon on the Windows desktop and double-click
the CD-ROM drive icon, typically this is drive D:.
10. If the Symphony Installation program does not launch automatically,
double-click the SETUP.EXE icon to launch the program.
11. Click <Customize> to change the default installation directory; other-
wise, click <Install> to continue with the standard installation.
12. Follow the on-screen instructions and reboot the computer when
prompted. You may need to reboot the computer more than once.
13. If prompted, enter your User name and Password in the network login dia-
log box. If you do not have an existing User name and Password, enter a
new User Name and Password and write them down for future use.
Note:
Do NOT choose the <Cancel>. You must enter a User name and
Password to logon to the network.
14. The Symphony Composer Installation Wizard will launch automatically.
Follow the on-screen instructions to configure your Symphony HomeRF
adapter. See Chapter 4 for more information on the Symphony Composer.
Symphony Composer Does Not Start
If the Symphony Composer Installation Wizard does not appear, even though
the Symphony HomeRF adapter appears to be working properly, confirm that
the Symphony HomeRF adapter is in the Network Adapters category of the
Device Manager without an “!” next to its entry and restart the computer. The
Symphony Composer Installation Wizard will be launched once Windows fin-
ishes loading.
Note:
The Device Manager is located in the Control Panel’s System
icon.
