whether Ethernet or wireless, will have the ability to share files and printers
with all of the other members of the wireless and Ethernet networks.
Note that this configuration is limited not only to Ethernet but can be used to
bridge between the wireless network and any other standard networking tech-
nology. However, for the sake of simplicity, this manual refers to the second
network as an Ethernet network.
Note:
If you intend to bridge between an Ethernet network and a wire-
less network, you must install a Symphony HomeRF adapter in
the computer that will run the Conductor software first.
Peer-to-Peer Wireless Network
The simplest configuration of a Symphony network is referred to as a “Peer-
to-Peer network.” In this configuration, depicted below, wireless computers
communicate exclusively with each other: there is no modem sharing or com-
munication with another network.
This option creates a wireless network to share files and printers between com-
puters.
