TYPICAL APPLICATIONS
PROVA-MAT is ideally suited for waterproofing
vertical and horizontal substrates where ceramic and
stone tile will be installed such as in showers,
bathrooms, wellness areas, steam rooms, saunas,
and exterior patios, balconies and decks that are not
covering occupied space.
ACCESSORIES
INSTALLATION: CORNERS
PROVA-CORNERS and PROVA-JOINT installed first. Work from
bottom to top. Apply recommended mortar to substrate using a
1/4” x 3/16” V-notch trowel. **For most substrates, a premium
modified thin set mortar is recommended. Work PROVA-CORNERS
and PROVA-JOINT into wet mortar using a flat trowel or float,
taking care not to cut material or create air pockets.
INSTALLATION: JOINTS
Overlap joints by a minimum of 2”.
Sheets may be butted and covered with PROVA-JOINT.
INSTALLATION: TILING
Desired finished tile or stone may be installed immediately
after
PROVA-MAT installation or at a later date using
** recommended mortar and trowel size to create
bond between tile or stone and substrate.
INSTALLATION: PROVA-MAT
Work from bottom to top. Start with floor, then walls, last ceiling.
** Apply recommended mortar to substrate using a 1/4” x 3/16”
V-notch trowel.

PREPARATION
Substrate must be clean, dry, flat and structurally sound.
Bonding adhesive must be able to bond to substrate.
