ANNEX TRAINER : PRACTICAL IMPLEMENTATION
54
WARNING : to eliminate any risk of injury, it is necessary to temporarily dismantle the
propeller of the aircraft school before any test or trainer adjustment. This is totally
unavoidable if the school model has an electric motor.
Your transmitter PTR-6A, whether classical or V2, can be used as student transmitter for a
wireless schooling trainer.
It is important however to note that only the R6X V2 receiver is compatible with the wireless
schooling. The receiver R6X "normal" (without the V2 logo) is not compatible with the
wireless schooling.
The implementation stages of the wireless schooling are:
1/ install the receiver corresponding to the master transmitter in the plane school.
2/ configure and adjust the training aircraft that he flies perfectly with the master transmitter.
3/ set the student transmitter PTR-6A on a blank memory (no programming).
4/ adjust the control mode of the student transmitter PTR-6A so that it is identical to that of the
master transmitter.
5/ pair student transmitter PTR-6A with its R6X V2 receiver (read the manual).
6/ buy or carry the cord connecting the R6X V2 receiver to the master transmitter (see examples at
the end of this document).
7/ connect this cord to the BATT / PPM connector on R6X V2 receiver (note the direction).
8/ connect the other end of the cord on the connector of the master transmitter.
9/ feed the R6X V2 by a battery.
10/ validate the schooling trainer functionality of the master transmitter as indicated in the manual
of the device. If this feature is available, select the channels that must be transmitted to the student
transmitter (selective schooling).
11 / switch on the trainer mode on master transmitter and verify that the student transmitter PTR-6A
properly control the rudders model (you can also perform this check on most transmitters by calling
the display of servos).
If needed, reversing the direction of the channels of PTR-6A. Similarly, it is possible to program a
dual/rate the PTR-6A in case of need.
12 / if it does not work is that the electrical signal from the R6X V2 is probably not compatible with
the master transmitter. In this case, reverse the polarity of the signal V2 R6X as shown on this manual
(RX on, press the button BIND RX until the red LED turns off then release immediately). Retry. The
PTR-6A will now control the model. Set the senses and dual/rate if necessary. If this does not work is
that the master transmitter probably not natively compatible with ProTronik transmitter.
A poorly made or incompatible cord can cause malfunctions or even the destruction of the
. V2 receiver R6X or master transmitter.
Having no control over the quality of manufacturing the trainer lead, Protronik declines all
responsibility in the use of trainer cords of third brands or personal fulfillment.
