Safety clutch
Thesafetyclutchisactivatedifthedrill
becomesjammedorcaught.
Beforecarryingoutanyworkonthemachine
disconnectfrompowersupplybyremoving
plugfromsocket.
Thechuckkeyshouldalwaysbekeptinthe
holderprovidedonthecablesleeve.
When drilling with the impact activated use
hearing protection.Exposuretotheeffects
ofnoisemaycausehearingloss.
Use the additional handle (additional
handles) if it is (they are) supplied with the
tool.Lossofcontrolmaycauseinjurepeople.
When carrying out an activity where the
machining tool could touch hidden power
conductors or its own power cord, hold
the electromechanical tool by the insulated
surfaces.Touchingthemachiningtoolwith
a"live"electricalconductormaycausethe
exposedmetalpartsoftheelectromechanical
tooltobecome“live”andleadtoinjuryofthe
userbyelectricshock.

alsosuitableforscrewingandthread‑cutting.

Putting into Operation
Incorrectoperationcanleadtodamage.
Thereforealwaysobservethefollowing
regulations:
‑ Sharpdrillbitsoptimiseperformancewhilst
minimizingwearonthemachine.
‑ Donotplacesuchloadsonthemachinethat
itceasestoturn.
‑ Changerotationaldirectiononlywhenthe
machineisnotmoving.
Thepowersupplyvoltagemustmatchthe
informationquotedonthetoolidentication
plate.Toolswitharatingof230Vcanalsobe
connectedtoa220V/240Vsupply.
Connecting the mains cable module

Themachineisequippedwithaquick‑change
mainscablemodule(9).Bydisconnecting
themainscableandthemachine,bothcan
betransportedeasier.Insertthemainscable
module(9)intothesocket(17)ofthemachine
andsecurebyturningthesleeve(18)in
clockwisedirection.
Toundotheconnection,turnthesleeve(18)in
counterclockwisedirectionandpullthemains
cablemodule(9)fromthesocket(17).
Usethemainscablemoduleonlyfor
PROTOOLpowertools.Donotattemptto
operateothermachineswithit.
Auxiliary handle
Forsafetyreasonsalwaysusetheenclosed
auxiliaryhandle(14).Fastentheauxiliaryhandle
totheclampingcollar(2)withthewingbolt(3).
Bylooseningthewingbolt(15)thedrillingdepth
canbeadjustedwiththedepthstopadjustment
(16).Theauxiliaryhandleisusedtoguide
themachinesecurely,especiallywithsudden
occuringreactiontorque(e.g.jammingofthe
drillbit).
