Clamping a drill bit
Opendrillchuckenoughsothetoolcanbe
inserted.Turnthesleeveofthekeylessdrill
chuckrmlybyhanduntiladistinct"click"
isheard.Thekeylessdrillchuckisthereby
automicallylocked.
Thelockingisreleasedagainwhenthesleeveis
rotatedintheoppositedirection,inorderto
removethetool.
Caution! The drill chuck may be very
hot: Duringlongerworkingperiods,in
particularforimpactdrilling,thedrillchuck
canbecomeveryhot.Inthiscasewe
recommendtheuseofprotectivegloves.
Switching on and off
Presstheon/offswitch(8)toswitchonthe
machine.Releaseagaintoswitchoff.
Continuous use
(only for right-hand rotation)
Switchingon:PresstheON/OFFbutton(8),hold
andretainwiththelock‑onbutton(6).
Switchingoff:PressandreleaseON/OFF
switch(8).
Speed Control
LightlypressingtheON/OFFswitch(8)resultsin
alowrotationalspeed,allowingacontrolledsoft
start.Furtherpressureontheswitchresultsinan
increaseinspeed.
Constant Electronic Control
Theconstantelectroniccontrolkeepsthespeed
almostconstantatno‑loadandwhileunderload.
Thisensuresuniformworkingperformanceand
cuttingspeedofthedrillingtool.
Electronic overload protection
Incasethatthemachineisextremely
overloaded,anelectronicoverloadprotection
protectsthemotorfromdamage.Inthiscase,the
motorstopsandrestartsonlyafterthefeeding
pressureisreduced,res.afterrelief.
Starting current limiting
Theelectronicallycontrolledsmoothstarttakes
carethatthemachinestartswithoutjerk.Asa
resultofthemachine'sreducedstartingcurrent,
a16Afuseissufcient
No-load speed reduction
Theelectroniccontrolreducestheno‑loadspeed
ofthemachinewhichresultsinreducednoise
andwearofmotorandgear.
Electronic speed pre-selection
Therequiredspeedcanbepre‑selectedwiththe
speedselectorthumbwheel(9)(alsopossible
duringoperation).
Therequiredspeeddependsonthematerial
beingmachinedandcanbedeterminedbytrial.
Whenputtingahighloadonthemachine,always
setthespeedselectorthumbwheel(9)tothe
maximumspeed.
Afterlongperiodsatlowoperatingspeed,run
thedrillathighspeedandwithoutloadfor
approx.3minutes,inordertocoolthemachine
down.

Twospeedrangescanbepre‑selectedwiththe
gearselectorswitch(11):
1GearI:Lowerspeedrange
2GearII:Higherspeedrange
Thenalspeedcanbeelectronicallypre‑
selectedwithinthesespeedranges.
Thegearscanbeswitchedwhenthemachine
isrunningdownoratastandstill,howevernot
underfullload.Afterswitchinggears,runthe
machineupslowly.
Reversing the Direction of Rotation
Settherotationaldirectionswitch(10)tothe
right(left‑handrotation)ortotheleft(right‑hand
rotation).Left‑handrotationforexampleenables
tappingandunscrewing/looseningofscrewsor
nuts.
Therotationaldirectionswitchislockedwhenthe
ON/OFFswitch(8)isactivated.
Change the rotational direction only when the
machine is not running.
