Thelockingisreleasedagainwhenthesleeveis
rotatedintheoppositedirection,inorderto
removethetool.
Caution! The drill chuck may be very hot:
Duringlongerworkingperiods,in
particularforimpactdrilling,thedrillchuck
canbecomeveryhot.Inthiscasewe
recommendtheuseofprotectivegloves.
Switching on and off
Presstheon/offswitch(11)toswitchonthe
machine.Releaseagaintoswitchoff.
Continuous use
Switchingon:PresstheON/OFFbutton(11),
holdandretainwiththelock‑onbutton(12).
Switchingoff:PressandreleaseON/OFF
switch(11).
Speed Control
LightlypressingtheON/OFFswitch(11)results
inalowrotationalspeed,allowingacontrolled
softstart.
Furtherpressureontheswitchresultsinan
increaseinspeed.
Electronic speed pre-selection
Therequiredspeedcanbepre‑selectedwiththe
speedselectorthumbwheel(10)(alsopossible
duringoperation).
Therequiredspeeddependsonthematerial
beingmachinedandcanbedeterminedbytrial.
Whenputtingahighloadonthemachine,always
setthespeedselectorthumbwheel(10)tothe
maximumspeed.
Afterlongperiodsatlowoperatingspeed,run
thedrillathighspeedandwithoutloadfor
approx.3minutes,inordertocoolthemachine
down.

Twospeedrangescanbepre‑selectedwiththe
gearselectorswitch(8):
1GearI:Lowerspeedrange
2GearII:Higherspeedrange
Thenalspeedcanbeelectronically
pre‑selectedwithinthesespeedranges.
Thegearscanbeswitchedwhenthemachine
isrunningdownoratastandstill,howevernot
underfullload.
Changing rotational direction
Settherotationaldirectionswitch(9)tothe
right(lefthandrotation)ortotheleft(right‑hand
rotation).Operationinleft‑handrotational
directionenablesapplicationssuchastappingor
looseningboltsornuts.
Therotationaldirectionswitchislockedwhen
theON/OFFswitch(11)isactivated.Changethe
rotationaldirectiononlywhenthemachineisnot
running.
CAUTION! When using the left run it is
especially important to rmly screw on the
chuck.
Normal and percussion drilling
Selectorswitch(4)canbefeltsnappinginto
place,andcanbeactuatedwhilethemachineis
operating.
Drilling
Pushselectorswitch(4)totheleft.
Percussion drilling
Pushselectorswitch(4)totheright.
Tungstencarbidedrillbitsarerequiredfordrilling
concrete,stoneandmasonry.Therotational
directionswitch(9)mustbeintheclockwise
position.
Replacing the key-type drill chuck

Thedrillchuckissecuredwiththesecuring
screw(20)againstlooseningfromthedrill
spindle.Openthedrillchuckfullyandcompletely
unscrewthesecuringscrew(Caution: lefthand
thread!).
Setanopen‑endspanner(size17mm)ontothe
spannersurface(2)ofthedrillspindleandhold
tight.Insertthechuckkey(16)intooneofthe
threeholesofthedrillchuck.Usethechuckkey
asalevertounscrewthedrillchuckfromthe
spindle,byrotatingincounterclockwisedirection
againsttheopen‑endspanner.Asnugdrillchuck
canbeloosenedbyapplyingalighthammer
blowontothedrillchuckkey(16).
Replacing the keyless chuck (Fig.)
Thedrillchuckissecuredwiththesecuring
screw(20)againstlooseningfromthedrill
spindle.Openthedrillchuckfullyandcompletely
unscrewthesecuringscrew(Caution: lefthand
thread!).ClampanAllenkey(18)intothedrill
chuck.Setanopenendspanner(size17mm)
