Step #1

Drill a small hole into the top center

of your wood post. DO NOT MAKE

THE HOLE AS LARGE AS THE

SCREW. A small hole will allow the

screw to thread its own way into the

wood for the most durable hold.

Step #2

Mount the screw to the bottom of

the post cap by turning it with your

hand. It should rest snuggly in the

socket.

Step #3

Holding the top of the Acorn/Globe,

screw the nial into the post until it

becomes ush with the wood post.

DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN. Turning

the screw too far can strip the wood

inside the post, making the cap less

secure.
