Surface Heating Elements
60 °C
Type HP 60
Robust heater tarps for large surfaces
Applications:
Heating or temperature regulation of large surfaces and containers
up to 60 °C, e.g. IBC containers, silos, lorries.
The heater tarp is warmed with electric heater elements sealed in
coated polyester fabric. The tarp‘s surface is washable and spray
waterproof (IP 65). It can optionally be ordered with a 5 mm thick
layer of thermal insulation.
The shape of the HP 60 heater tarp can be individually adapted
to container sizes; this includes both round and square openings.
Options for fastening, by way of hooks, eyes and Velcro, make
attachment easy.
The HP 60 heater tarp is rated to produce up to 500 Watt of heat
per m
2
; depending on ambient temperature, this ensures a short
warm-up time for the tarp. When a 3 Ph/Np power source is availa-
ble, a connected load of up to 11 KW per tarp is possible.

Sensors can be placed either in or on the heater tarp to monitor
temperature or provide regulation. Especially effective is our HTI
16 integral electronic regulator/limiter combination which allows
the heating conductors in the tarp to also act as probes; thus the
heating tarp‘s limit temperature can be monitored while simulta-
neously regulating the temperature of the medium in the container
precisely with a separate PT100 probe. Our temperature regulators
can be found in Chapter 6.
