Ex-connection system for PSB and
HSB heating tapes
Plexo is the fi rst pluggable connector system for heating tapes in
explosion-hazard zones.
Application with HBR-PSB/HSB self-delimiting parallel heating tapes
(page 50).
The connection is made up of a plug and a socket section, and for
heating tapes and connecting cord strands is by means of spring
terminals. Their spring strength creates the pressure for contact-
ing the protective sheath, so no laborious splicing and twisting is
necessary. A clever sealing system offers secure protection against
extreme environmental infl uences.
The system’s fl exibility permits direct connection of heating tapes
with the connecting cord or connection to an explosion-proof ter-
minal box. Special couplers are available to connect 2 identical
heating tapes.
