General Pointer and Facts End Caps Hard cap Tear- and twist safeguard The hard cap is firmly bonded with the basic hose. Consequently, there is no tearing or twisting of the cap due to heat expansion or strong movements of the heating hose. Bending safeguard Through the hard cap, the bending point of the basic hose is moved well behind the fitting and thus the critical transition between the hose and fitting is neutralised by the hard cap and the time between ho overhauls of the basic hose is increased.

General Pointer and Facts Installation Recommendations Modelled after DIN 20066: 2002-10 False Right Pulling on the ends of rolled hoses causes them to build up a torsion stress and can subject them to bending radii smaller than permissible. Hoses are not to be twisted. Remedy: Unroll the ring of hose rather than pulling it off. Hose lines should be installed in such a manner that they are free of tensile stress in all operational states; similarly, jamming stress (i.e.
General Pointer and Facts Installation Recommendations False Right Avoid twisting the hose when connecting it to moving parts, particularly when motion and bending take place in the same plane. This can be achieved through proper installation or structural precautions (e.g. turning knuckle). ød ≈ 1,5 ø d in rm r min The danger of kinking is particularly great for handheld devices. Remedy: Depending on the operating position, introduce an elbow fitting or kink protection (e.g.
General Pointer and Facts Installation Recommendations False Right Heat build-up will occur if heating hoses are routed through a closed channel or shaft. Remedy: hoses may not touch one another. Furthermore, sufficient ventilation is to be provided. If, for example, powder-like substances, adhesives or other thermally insulating materials accumulate on heating hoses, then overheating will occur at these locations. Remedy: eliminate the cause with regular cleaning to remove such materials.

Special Developments HFM – flexible heating jackets 600 °C Flexible heating jackets are a further development of the heating tape plus insulation and are suitable as tracer heating for already installed as well as preshaped customer pipes. Heating of bundles of pipes is also possible. The heating jackets HFM are pushed on the pipes that are to be heated. As a result, the customer has an easy to assemble heating system. Operating temperature: max.
Special Developments HIF tracer heating Type A 200 °C Type B For hoses and pipes Applications: Frost protection during water analysis, in washing and cleaning systems, for hose systems in general and as temperature stabilization for general applications. Special Developments The HIF tracer heating series is designed for antifreeze heating, respectively to compensate for heat losses in hoses and pipes. You can install HIF easily in your existing hose system.
Special Developments HTI-Heating tape 180 °C with the heating conductor as a sensor The HTI heating tape is supplied from a reel, cut to size as required and can be connected directly to the control devices HTI 15 and HTI 10. For temperature measurement and control, complete length of heating tape is used. No sensors and are required for temperature control on the object to be heated. Operating temperature: 180°C Rated voltage: max.
Special Developments Heating sleeve HFH Special 120 °C This heating design - which features a special electronic temperature control unit - enables the utilisation of diesel motors which must be started or operated under -20°C. This type of heating prevents the condensation of gases and liquids at temperatures under -20°C. The heating is switched on through an outdoor sensor when an optionally selectable lower temperature falls short of the setting.
Special Developments Thick-film heater elements, Miniature heater elements High-performance hybrid systems with SMD technology Hybrid elements offer advantages of small dimensions with high performance. They are suitable as outside-applied container heaters for use in laboratories, industry, smelting bodies, nozzle heaters and various applications in motor vehicles. These elements are vibration resistant and possess very good high-frequency characteristics.
