manypurposes.
TheIHradioupdatesthisli
stwitheach802.11packetthatisreceived,whetherfroma
radioofthesamenetworkoronethatbelongstoano therSSID.Itcanalsoseeradios
fromothervendors.
OncepersecondtheIHradioevaluatesthelinkithastoitsparenttodetermineifthis
linkisthebes
tparenttouse.Acostiscalculatedforeachentryandcanbeseeninthe
columnlabeled"Cost"intheprecedingtable.Thecostcalculationisbasednotonlyon
thestrongestsignal,butonseveralotherfactorstoprovideoptimumnetwork
communication.
