7.1 Return Material Authorization (RMA) Policies and Conditions
ThefollowingReturnMaterialAuthorization(RMA)PoliciesandConditions(collectively,"RMA
Policies")applytoanyreturnedproduct.TheseRMAPoliciesaresubjecttochangebyProSoft
Technology,Inc.,withoutnotice.Forwarrantyinformation,seeLimitedWarranty(page203).In
theeventofanyinconsistencybetweentheRMAPoliciesandtheWarranty,
theWarrantyshall
govern.
7.1.1 Returning Any Product
a) InordertoreturnaProductforrepair,exchange,orotherwise,theCustomermust
obtainaReturnMaterialAuthorization(RMA)numberfromProSoftTechnologyand
complywithProSoftTechnologyshippinginstructions.
b) IntheeventthattheCustomerexperiencesaproblemwiththeProductforanyreason,
Customershouldcontact
ProSoftTechnicalSupportatoneofthetelephonenumbers
listedabove(page199).ATechnical SupportEngineerwillrequestthatyouperform
severaltestsinanattempttoisolatetheproblem.Ifaftercompletingthesetests,the
Productisfoundtobethesourceoftheproblem,wewillissue
anRMA.
c) AllreturnedProductsmustbeshippedfreightprepaid,intheoriginalshippingcontainer
orequivalent,tothelocationspecifiedbyProSoftTechnology,andbeaccompaniedby
proofofpurchaseandreceiptdate.TheRMAnumberistobeprominentlymarkedon
theoutsideoftheshippingbox.Customer
agreestoinsuretheProductorassumethe
riskoflossordamageintransit.ProductsshippedtoProSoftTechnologyusinga
shipmentmethodotherthanthatspecifiedbyProSoftTechnology,orshippedwithout
anRMAnumberwillbereturnedtotheCustomer,freightcollect.ContactProSoft
TechnicalSupportfor
furtherinformation.
d) A10%restockingfeeappliestoallwarrantycreditreturns,wherebyaCustomerhasan
applicationchange,orderedtoomany,doesnotneed,etc.Returnsforcreditrequire
thatallaccessorypartsincludedintheoriginalbox(i.e.;antennas,cables)bereturned.
Failuretoreturntheseitemswill
resultinadeductionfromthetotalcreditdueforeach
missingitem.
7.1.2 Returning Units Under Warranty
ATechnicalSupportEngineermustapprovethereturnofProductunderProSoftTechnology’s
Warranty:
a) Areplacementmodulewillbeshippedandinvoiced.Apurchaseorderwillberequired.
b) Creditforaproductunderwarrantywillbeissueduponreceiptofauthorizedproductby
ProSoftTechnologyatdesignatedlocationreferenced
ontheReturnMaterial
Authorization
i. Ifadefectisfoundandisdeterminedtobecustomergenerated,orifthedefectis
otherwisenotcoveredbyProSoftTechnologyswarranty,therewillbenocredit
given.Customerwillbecontactedandcanrequestmodulebereturnedattheir
expense;
ii. Ifdefectiscustomergeneratedandisrepairable,customercanauthorizeProSoft
Technologytorepairtheunitbyprovidingapurchaseorderfor30%ofthecurrent
listpriceplusfreightcharges,dutiesandtaxesasapplicable.
