4.8 Restoring Factory Default Network Settings
Restoringthenetworksettingstofactorydefaultsdependsontheversionoffirmwareinyour
ILX34.
Firmware Versions 3.4.xxx
1 Turnmodulepoweroff.
2 Changethumbwheelsto888.
3 Turnmodulepoweron.
4 Waitforatleastoneminute.Duringthisoneminute,thefirmwarewillwritedefaultsettings
totheEEPROMthatwilltakeeffectthenexttimemodulepoweristurnedon.
Toensureaoneminutedelay,
openacommandpromptwindow,enter:
ping localhost –n 60 && exit
thenwaituntilthecommandpromptwindowcloses.
5 ObservethePointBusStatusLED.InitiallyitwillbeRED,thenitwillbecomeGREEN,thenit
willturnoff.Verifythatitisnotlitbeforedisconnectingpower.
WARNING: Do NOT remove power while the Point Bus Status LED is GREEN.
6 Changethethumbwheelstoanyvalueotherthan888or777.
7 Turnmodulepoweron.
Firmware Version 3.5.0 and later
1 Turnmodulepoweroff.
2 Changethumbwheelsto888.
3 Turnmodulepoweron.
4 ThePointBusStatusLEDwillcomeonsolidRED.
WARNING: Do NOT power off the ILX34 while the Point Bus Status LED is on.
5 Afterabout30seconds,thePointBusStatusLEDwillgoout.Onceitdoes,youcanpoweroff
themodulesafely.
6 Changethethumbwheelstoanyvalueotherthan888or777.
7 Turnmodulepoweron.
NOTE: The Ethernet link is disabled when the thumbwheels are set to 888.
