onlyselectWEP(wiredequivalencyprotocol)forusewithanolderclientradiothat
onlyhasWEPencryption.
WEPistheoriginalsecurityprotocolusedby802.11networks,butAESoffersbetter
protectionagainstattacks,forseveralreasons:AESusesanadvancedencryption
algorithmthatis
notsusceptibletothesameweaknessesasWEP,itperforms
dynamickeymanagementbychangingthesessionkeysfrequently,anditperforms
messageintegritycheckstopreventforgeryandreplay.
YoucanalsoselectWEP128,orNone(noencryption)astheencryptiontype,but
noneofthesesettingsarerecommended.
WPAPassphrase TouseWPA2/AESencryptiononpacketssentbetweentheradios,enteraWPA2/AES
passphraseofbetweeneightand63normalkeyboardcharacters.Thisphrase
automaticallygeneratesanencryptionkeyof128hexadecimalcharacters.Thisfieldis
onlyavailableifyouselectWPA2/AESastheencryptiontype.
WEPKeyIndex Ifusing WEP128encryption,selecttheKeyIndexthatmatchestheKeyIndexusedin
theAccessPoint.
WEPKeys(14) IfusingWEP128encryption,entertheWEPKeysthatmatchtheKeysintheAccess
Point.
TransmitDataRate TherecommendedTheILX34AENWGsupportsthefollowingtransmitdatarates.The
defaultvalueisAuto:Max54Mbps,andthisistherecommendedvalueformost
applications.
