Using the Remote
REMOTE BUTTONS
ON•OFF When in TV mode, turns the monitor on and off. If in another
device mode (VCR, DVD, SAT•CABLE, etc.) and programmed, will turn
the device on and off. Press twice within two seconds to turn off most
RCA, GE, and PROSCAN products at once.
VCR1 Puts the remote in VCR mode and if Autotuning is enabled, it
will turn on the monitor and tune to the correct input channel.
TV Turns on the monitor and puts the remote in TV mode. Also displays
channel information.
DVD Puts the remote in DVD mode and if Autotuning is enabled, it will
turn on the monitor and tune to the correct input channel.
VCR2 Puts the remote in VCR2 mode and if Autotuning is enabled, it
will turn on the monitor and tune to the correct input channel.
LED The LED light indicates programming mode when programming
the remote to control components. Also lights when a valid code is sent
while you are programming the remote.
AUX Puts the remote in AUX mode. Also, turns on the monitor if you’ve
programmed the AUX key and set up Autotuning for that component.
SAT•CABLE Puts the remote in SAT•CABLE mode and if Autotuning is
enabled, it will turn on the monitor and tune to the correct input
channel.
MUTE Reduces the monitor’s volume to its minimum level. Press again
to restore the volume.
SKIP Press once before changing channels and the monitor will wait 30
seconds before returning you to the original channel. Press repeatedly to
add more time.
CH + or CH - Scans up or down through the current channel list. Press
once to change the channel up or down; press and hold to continue
changing channels. In DVD mode, pressing CH buttons skips chapters.
VOL – or VOL + Decreases or increases the monitor’s volume.
SOUND Press once to display the audio processor choice list. Point
and select to choose a different processor or press CLEAR to exit.
GO BACK Returns you to the previous channel or previous screen in
the menu system.
(Light Icon) Press to illuminate the remote buttons. The light
automatically shuts off within a few seconds of the last button press.
GUIDE Brings up and exits the GUIDE Plus+ Gold System. In
SAT•CABLE mode, brings up available on-screen guides.
INFO Brings up channel information; press again to clear the screen.
Move (Arrows) Used to point to different items in the menu system and
adjust the menu controls. Also moves the PIP window when no menus
are on the screen.
OK When in the menu system, selects highlighted items or returns you
to the previous menu.
