LS STYLE
1. Select the same element that is being
replaced. Check flange style, voltage
and watage.
2. Disconnect all electric power to tank.
3. Turn off cold water supply to tank.
4. Open hot water faucet to relieve pressure.
5. Drain water heater to a level below the
element being replaced.
6. Disconnect wires from heating element
and remove it from the tank.
7. Insert new element, making certain the
gasket is positioned properly.
8. If bolt-on type, tighten bolts evenly.
9. Connect wires to element and fill tank
with cold water. Note: make certain the
tank is full.
10. Open water faucets to expel any trapped
air in tank.
11. Turn on electric power supply.
