If you want the source device and Mix channel to have different names, change the name of the Mix channel. To re-
turn to the default state (and use the source device name for the Mix channel), just delete the Mix channel name.
! There are special naming conventions when you are using Parallel Channels, see “Naming Parallel Channels”.
Coloring mixer channels
Track Color can be set for a mixer channel and is reflected in all areas; in the mixer, sequencer track list, new clips
and Mix Channel/Audio Track devices. Tracks for Mix channel source devices have independent color and will not re-
flect the color set for the Mix channel or device. If you set Clip Color (see “Coloring clips”), this overrides the set Track
Color. Any previously recorded clips will not reflect Track Color.
D To set Track Color, select a channel, then select “Track Color” from the Edit menu or the channel context menu
and then select a color from the palette on the submenu.
In the Main Mixer, Track Color is shown in the channel header and channel strip section headers.
A channel strip with all sections folded, except for the Fader section
! If you change the color of an Output Bus channel, this will be reflected in the Output areas on all other chan-
nels connected to that Output Bus, see “Creating an Output Bus”.
D You can also set Track Color from a selected track or Mix Channel/Audio Track device in the same way.
In case of Mix channel source device tracks, color is independent - only automation tracks for a Mix channel will
reflect the Track Color.
