WATERING SUGGESTIONS
A thorough soaking is preferred to a light shallow watering. This encourages deep
rooting and will resist heat and drought stress. Surface drying helps to reduce
fungus diseases which thrive in high moisture and temperature conditions. Early
morning watering is recommended.
*NOTE: We recommend that you keep this product (and all fertilizers) out of the
reach of children. Do not apply near water, storm drains, or drainage ditches. Do
not apply if heavy rain is expected. Apply this product only to your garden, and
sweep any product that lands in the driveway, sidewalk, and street, back onto your
garden immediately as the composition of certain fertilizer elements can cause
permananent stains. Also avoid contact with swimming pools and stucco siding.
TURF
Apply at .5lbs/100sqft, 3 times a year - once in the spring, early summer, and
again in the fall. Immediately after application, apply a minimum of 0.2 inches of
water to disperse the granules. Watering in this product will help disperse granules
and help move nutrients into the soil.
FLOWERS & VEGETABLES
Apply at 1-1.5 lbs/100sqft. Spread fertilizer evenly on the bed surface and work into
the top 2 to 4 inches of soil surface before planting. For vigorous growth, repeat
applications every 6 weeks during the growing season, working into the soil surface
along rows and around plants. Do not allow fertilizer to contact stems or leaves.
FRUIT & NUT TREES
Apply fertilizer 3 times a year - once in the spring before new growth appears, early
summer, and again in the fall after fruit and nuts have been harvested. Fertilizer should
only be applied under the drop line of established trees and watered thoroughly.
SHADE TREES
Fertilize your trees 2 to 4 weeks before they break bud in spring. Make a follow-up
application in 6 to 8 weeks once the trees have reached peak spring growth.
Repeat application 6 to 8 weeks after second application. Feed again in late fall,
about the time of the average first frost date. Established trees can be fed by
using an auger to drill holes in a circle just inside the drip line 24 inches apart and
approximately 12 inches deep. Surface feeding near drip line is recommended for
younger trees. Water your trees slowly and deeply. Use half rate for your plants
less than one year old.
SHRUBS & ORNAMENTALS
Apply in the late spring and early fall. Where rapid growth is desired, or in areas
where the growing season is extended, a third application is recommended in
mid-summer. Scatter the fertilizer evenly on the soil surface under the outer spread
of branches, inward to a point 1 foot from the trunk of plant. Scratch fertilizer lightly
into the soil surface and water well. Do not allow fertilizer to contact stems or
leaves. Use half rate for young plants less than one year old.

Measure diameter of the tree 3 - 4 feet above ground. Do not apply more than
15 pounds of fertilizer to any one tree or shrub. Use half rate for young plants

This lawn fertilizer, which contains phosphorus, is intended only for nonagricultural use
on (i) turf during its first growing season, (ii) turf areas being repaired or renovated, and (iii)
turf where a soil test performed within the last 3 years indicates a phosphorus
deficiency. This fertilizer is not intended for the routine maintenance of turf.
STORAGE AND DISPOSAL Do not contaminate water, food or feed by storage,
disposal or cleaning of equipment. Store in a safe manner. Store in original
container only and keep tightly sealed when not in use. Dispose of unused product
and empty containers in accordance with federal, state and local regulations.
