Operation Manual
4. Connection
Connect a red wire on the + bolt of the charger by means of an M6 cable eye.
Repeat this with a black wire on the - bolt of the charger. Fasten the other side of
the red cable on the + pole of the battery (with an alligator clip or battery clamp).
Repeat this with the black wire on the - pole of the battery.
After the battery has been connected to the charger the power plug can be put into
a socket outlet and the charger can be switched on. The charging process will
begin.
When you want to disconnect the charger from the battery, the charger must be
switched off firstly and the power plug must be removed from the outlet.
Important
The battery junction that isn’t linked with the frame should be connected
firstly. The other junction must be made with the frame.
The connection between the charger and the battery must be made some
distance from the fuel installation.
Check whether the mains voltage of the voltage source is the same as the
required voltage of the charger
Damaged wires/cables should be replaced immediately
It is also very important that you observe the following procedures:
always use the screw nuts and washers (brass nickel) included. When other
materials are used there is a risk that the bolt will burn out of the print board.
make sure that the wires make good contact between the charger and the
battery. If this connection is weak, there is a chance that the bolts will burn out of
the print board.
do not tighten the screws more than necessary. If the screws are tightened too
much the bolts may disconnect from the print board.
If the charger has a malfunction because these procedures are not observed, the
warranty will lapse.
Tip
It is advisable to mount a fuse between the + pole of the battery and the + bolt of
the charger. Always use a fuse that is heavier than the charge current.
