9.3.4 Exposure time could not be set
Make sure your camera is set to "Single" drive mode, as opposed to "Continuous". Quiet or Silent mode
is also acceptable, if available on your camera.
Make sure your camera is set to "Manual Focus" mode.
Make sure your camera is set to "Manual Exposure" mode.
If you enabled "Long Exposure Noise Reduction" setting on your camera, make sure Promote Control has
its LeNR setting set to "On". Promote Control will try to match those settings for you, but if this
attempt fails, an error may be shown.
Make sure that the "Mirror Lock-Up" (MLU) settings on your camera and Promote Control are matched -
both need to be either "On" or "Off". Promote Control will try to match those settings for you, but if this
attempt fails, an error may be shown.
9.3.5 Camera cannot be recognized
The device connected to the Promote Control USB port is using an unknown, non-camera protocol or is
not a camera. Verify you have a compatible camera connected and it is appropriately configured as
described in Camera Setup section.

9.3.6 Please set camera USB connection mode to "PTP" and reconnect the camera
The camera connected needs to be reconfigured to use the PTP protocol for USB communications. See
Camera Setup section for more details.
9.3.7 Programmed sequence falls out of exposure range
One or more scheduled exposures of the current operation are outside the range available with your
camera and Promote Control. This error message may be seen when using High Dynamic Range mode
and one or more required exposures is faster than 1/4000 and the Setup setting named Enable
exposures below 1/4000 is not enabled (subject to camera support). See High Dynamic Range Mode
section for more information about how to continue.
9.3.8 Exposure out of range
One or more shutter speed in a High Dynamic Range sequence cannot be set. Choose another value for
the "Mid Exposure" setting to continue.
9.3.9 Device battery may go low during exposure sequence
This message is shown when Promote Control senses the battery charge is low and may become fully
depleted before the current operation completes. You may proceed if the current operation is an
unusually short one. However, you should replace the batteries as soon as possible when this message
