This setting only applies to Bulb Ramping mode . The previous setting, "Limit bulb ramping longest
exposure" allows putting a cap on the longest exposure Promote Control will be allowed to do.
However, sometimes this cap may severely limit Promote Control functionality. If you encounter a
situation where the longest exposure limit mode may have to be pushed, set "Bulb ramping long
exposure limit mode" setting to "Soft, allow step over". This will instruct Promote Control to stay within
the preset longest exposure for as long as possible, but still allow it to do longer exposures if necessary
to maintain the programmed Bulb Ramping sequence.
8.3.19 Auto bulb ramping interval extension
Default: No
This setting only applies to Bulb Ramping mode . It provides one more remedy for Promote Control to
try to keep Bulb Ramping exposures running as instructed. Normally Bulb Ramping exposures would be
calculated so as not to hit the Bulb Ramping exposure interval - but if sequence is manually adjusted mid-
way, exposures may change and the interval may become too tight. Set this option to "Yes" to allow
Promote Control to extend exposure interval in Bulb Ramping in extreme cases.
8.3.20 Bulb ramping live mod step size
Default: 0.05 EV
This setting controls how much of the live modification is entered every time you click Up/Down buttons
while a Bulb Ramping sequence is active. Read Bulb Ramping section for more information on Live
Modification feature.
8.3.21 Bulb ramping interval measured as
Default: Exp start - exp start
By default Promote Control measures Bulb Ramping intervals from start of one exposure to the start of
the next exposure. This ensures constant speed for the resulting video. However, in some circumstances
it may be easier to use "Exp end - exp start" intervals. In that mode Promote Control will measure the
Bulb Ramping interval you set from the end of an exposure to the start of the next exposure. This
eliminates interval overrun problem (since the exposure time is not subtracted from the interval time),
but may lead to faster resulting video playback as your shutter speeds become longer.
8.3.22 Bulb ramp / bulb HDR image buffer time
Default: 1800 ms
This setting only applies to Bulb HDR and Bulb Ramping modes. Promote Control knows that your
camera needs time to record an image that has just been taken. But cameras' and memory cards' write
speeds may vary, and image quality settings may affect the image recording time. Use this setting to tell
Promote Control how long your camera takes to record an image.
