Summary
This command allows the user to start, stop, pause or resume a PDM as well as to check on
the progress of a running or paused PDM.
PDM (Predictive Data Migration) is an operation to replace a drive in the disk array, which
has a PFA condition, with a destination physical drive. The destination physical drive can be
an uncongured drive, a global spare, or a dedicated spare to this disk array.
During PDM, the data on the PFA drive will be transferred to the destination drive while
the IO remains going on. After PDM, the destination drive becomes part of the disk array; the
PFA drive will become uncongured and PFA condition will remain on.
The PFA drive cannot be used for further conguration until the PFA condition is cleared
by the user.
To clear the PFA condition of a physical drive, please refer to phydrvcommand with option
-a clear.
