You also have the option to make maintenance mode settings at a later time in WebPRM PROe. The IP address
of the management port can be congured to use a different IP address when a controller is in maintenance mode.
Maintenance mode is used in the event of a controller failure, or if there is a difference of some kind between two
controller on a dual controller subsystem. In maintenance mode, the Vess goes ofine and displays N/A under
Readiness Status in the Component List in the Device menu tab. This circumstance requires intervention by the
administrator.

Automatic settings require a DHCP server on your network. DHCP is currently supported on IPv4 only.
You make maintenance mode settings for one controller at a time.
To enable automatic maintenance mode settings:
1. At the command prompt, type net -a mod -m -c 1 -f ipv4 -s “dhcp=enable” and press Enter.
administrator@cli> net-amod-m-c1-fipv4-s“dhcp=enable”
After a moment, the comand prompt reappears, indicating that your setting was successful.
