Chapter 5: RAID Monitoring and
Management with WebPAM
This chapter describes using WebPAM to monitor and manage your
RAID system. The chapter is divided into sections for major WebPAM
components:
• Log-in/Log-out
• Host (RAID PC) Management

Log-in/Log-out
Log-in Over Network or Internet
1. Launch your Browser.
2. In the Browser address field, type in the IP Address or Hostname of
the Utility Server PC, as explained below.
Note
If your network has a DHCP server, Promise recommends
that you specify the Hostname, rather than the IP
Address, when creating a new Host (RAID PC). See
Appendix B for more information on DHCP servers.
Regular Connection
• WebPAM uses an HTTP connection .......................http://
• Use either the IP Address .......................... 192.168.1.108
or Hostname ....................................................webserver1
• Indicate the Port number ...........................................:8080
• Add promise to launch WebPAM ......................../promise
