Change Between Spare and JBOD

By default, unassigned disk drives are designated as Spares. You can designate

them as JBOD in order for your PC’s operating system to recognize them.

JBOD disks function the same any other disk drive that is part of your PC.

To change a Spare disk to JBOD:

1. From the FastBuild Main Menu, select View/Change Drive Assignments (2).

2. In the View Drive Assignments menu, use the arrow keys to highlight a

Spare drive you want to redisignate.

3. Press the spacebar to change the disk to JBOD.

FastBuild asks for verification.

Recognized as a drive by the PC’s operating system? No Yes
