How to Maintain your Prolux Ion Stick Vac The Prolux Ion Stick Vac uses a bagless system. However from time to time you will need to empty it and clean the filters as shown below: 1. Empty the dirt from the bagless chamber. You don’t have to empty the dirt chamber unless it is full. However, it is suggested to empty the dirt chamber each time you are finished vacuuming. This provides more suction power to the vacuum and causes the motor to not work so hard and less draw on the battery during use.
2. Cleaning the Filters. Follow directions #1 above. Once the dirt chamber cup is released then twist the filter chamber in the direction shown below to gain access to the vacuum's filters. First do #3 and then do #4. When the filters have been removed clean the filter chamber cones as well as any filters. Tapping filters on garbage can or blowing compressed air through filters can clean and extend the life of the filters. 3. Cleaning the brushroll.
