BATTERY OPERATION
Charge in a well ventilated area. DO NOT block charger vents. Keep them clear to allow proper
ventilation.
CHARGING LITHIUM ION BATTERY PACKS
Lithium Ion batteries deliver fade-free power for their entire run time. The Prolux cleaner will not
gradually lose power due to decreasing battery charge. The unit will perform at its normal performance
level until the battery has been depleted. Once this happens, recharging of the battery is required. It is not
necessary to drain the battery pack completely before recharging.
If the charging indicator light is not lit at any point during the charging process, remove the charging cord
from the charger to avoid damaging the product. DO NOT insert another battery.
Contact Prolux customer service with any issues.
BATTERY PROTECTION FEATURE
The 14.4-volt Lithium Ion batteries are designed with features that protect the cells and maximize battery
life. When the battery has reached its minimum voltage level the electronics will shut off the battery. Once
the battery shuts off, it must be recharged.
PREPARING THE UNITS BATTERY PACK FOR CHARGING
1. Turn off the power switch. Confirm the switch is on the off position.
2. Plug the small round connector on the charger’s cord end into the charging port of the buffer. This is
located on the back of the unit right above the water tank. (See page 6)
3. Plug the charger’s wall outlet cord end into your 120V wall outlet.
4. The Battery pack may require approximately 2.5 hours to full charge.
Note: Battery pack in the unit may get warm while charging.
5. Once the above steps have been done, the L.E.D. Power Indicator light on the front of the unit should be
Red, indicating that the battery is low and is currently charging. Once the light turns Green, the unit is fully
charged and ready to be used.
Before you assemble the battery pack back into the cleaner, please check the on/off switch is on the off
position.
