Noisefromyourappliance
Youmaynoticesomeratherunusualnoises.Thenoisesarecausedbycirculationofrefrigerantinthecooling
system.IthasbecomemorepronouncedsincetheintroductionofCFCfreegases.Thisisnotafaultandwillnot
affecttheperformanceofyourfreezer.
Prolonged
offperiods
Iftheapplianceisnotinuseforalongperiodoftime,proceedasfollows:
Disconnecttheappliancefromthemainssupply.
Cleananddrytheinside(see‘Cleaningandmaintenance’).
Leavethedooropentopreventanyunpleasantsmellsfrombuildingupwhile
theapplianceisnotinuse.
Defrosting
Thefreezershallbedefrostedperiodicallyorwhenthethicknessofthefrostismorethan3mm.
1 Disconnecttheappliancefromthemainssupply.
2 Removeallthefrozenfoodandwrapinthickblanketsorlayersofpapertokeep
themcold.Anincrease
intemperatureoffrozenfoodpackagesduringdefrostingwillshortenthestoragelife.
3 Removethedraincoverlocatedatthebottomofthefreezerthenremovethewaterconduitattherear
ofthefreezer.
4 Afterdefrostingisfinished,cleantheinsideoftheappliance.
5 Reconnecttheappliancetothemainssupplyandrefitthedraincoverandwaterconduitinplace.
6 Placethefoodbackintothefreezerandsetthethermostatcontrolknobtothedesiredsetting.

DOcleananddefrostyourapplianceregularly.
DOcheckcontentsofthecompartmenteverysooften.
DOcheckhighqualityfreshfoodandbesureitisthoroughlycleanbeforefreezing.
DOwrapallfoodinfoodqualitypolythenebagsorairtightcontainersandmakesureanyairisexcluded.
DoNotstorepoisonousordangeroussubstancesintheappliance.Ithasbeendesignedforthestorageof
ediblefoodstuffsonly.
DoNotleavethedooropenforlongperiods,asthiswillmaketheappliancemorecostlytooperateandcause
excessiveiceformation.
DoNotusesharpobjectssuchasknivestoremovetheicefromtheappliance.Onlyuseaplastic
scraper.
DoNotputhotfoodintotheappliance.Letitcooldowntoroomtemperature.
DoNotputliquid‐filledbottlesorsealedcanscontainingcarbonatedliquidsintothelowtemperature
compartmentastheymayburst.
