Make sure the kettle is switched off and unplugged from the power socket.
1. Remove the kettle from the base. Fill the kettle with desired amount of fresh water either
through the spout or through the open lid.
y The water level must between the MAX and MIN levels as indicated in the kettle.
y Open the lid by pushing the lid open button on the handle.
2. Close the lid until a click is heard and place the kettle on the base.
3. Insert the plug into the power socket.
4. Push the On/Off switch down until it locks into position to switch on the appliance. The blue
indicating light comes on to indicate the kettle starts heating up.
5. The kettle switches off automatically when the water boils and the blue indicating light goes
off. The switch resets to the up position.
Note:
You can stop the boiling process by lifting the switch to the up position.
6. Allow the kettle to cool for 15~20 minutes before boiling water again. The kettle may be
placed on the base when not in use.

CLEANING AND DESCALING
Warning:
Always unplug the appliance from the power outlet and allow it to cool down before cleaning.
Do not use chemical, steel wool or abrasive cleaner to clean the appliance.
Clean the outside of the kettle using a damp cloth.
Remove the filter on the lid under running water and dry thoroughly.
DESCALING THE KETTLE
1. Fill 0.5L white vinegar into the kettle and the rest with water and leave the solution overnight.
2. Empty the solution from the kettle. Wipe off the deposits with damp cloth.
3. Fill the kettle with clean water, bring to boil and then discard the water. Repeat before using
again.
4. Repeat the procedure if there is still some scale in the kettle.
