Please read and understand this entire manual before attempting to assemble, operate or install
the product.
1. Make sure that all electrical connections comply with local codes, ordinances, the National
Electrical Code and ANSI/NFPA 70-199. Hire a qualied electrician if you are unfamiliar with
installing electrical wiring.
2. Turn off electricity at main fuse box (or circuit breaker box) before beginning installation.
3. Do not connect this xture to an electrical system that does not provide a means for equipment
grounding.
4. WARNING: Installing a xture into an electrical system that does not have a proper means
for grounding could allow all metal parts of the xture to carry electrical current if any of the
xture’s wires, wire connections or splices become broken, cut, or loose. Anyone coming in
contact with the xture is subject to electrical shock, which could cause serious injury or death.
5. Do not connect the xture’s ground (green/bare) wire to the black (hot) or white (neutral) supply
wire from the outlet box.
6. WARNING: Wire connectors will not support the weight of this xture. Suspending this xture
by the supply wires and wire connectors will result in the xture falling, with the possibility of
personal injury and the danger of electrical shock or re.
7. All xtures must be mounted to an outlet box that is supported by the building structure. Do not
attempt to support the xture by drywall alone. The xture may fall and cause personal injury.
8. Be careful not to damage or cut the wire insulation (covering) during xture installation. Damage
to the wire insulation may cause serious injury or death from electrical shock.
9. Do not use bulbs that have a wattage greater than the maximum value stated on the xture. The
use of higher wattage bulbs than specied will increase temperatures and may cause risk of re.
10. If a dimmer control switch is used with this xture, obtain professional advice to determine the
correct type and electrical rating required.
