Tools Required Figures 1, 2, and 3 are examples of different ways to mount the electrical box. Phillips screw driver or straight slotted screw driver, adjustable wrench, step ladder, and wire cutters. Figure 3 Mounting Options If there isn’t an existing electrical box, then read the following instructions. Disconnect the power by removing fuses or turning off circuit breakers. Secure the electrical box directly to the building structure. Use appropriate fasteners and building materials.
Attaching the Fan Blades 1. Attach the blades to the flywheel by aligning the notches on the blades with alignment post on the flywheel and put the blade on to the flywheel. Secure with screws but do not tighten. (Figure 5) Screws 2. Repeat these steps for remaining blades. 3. Put the flywheel upside as shown (Fig. 6). Attach the finial to the bottom of the flywheel aligning the screw holes of the finial with the holes of the blade, secure with screws and tighten. (Figure 6) 4.
Attaching the Decorative Ring Screws 1. Attach the decorative ring through the bottom of the flywheel by aligning the holes on the decorative ring with the holes on the tab and install the screws. (Figure 7) Flywheel Screws 2. Put the fan motor assembly inside the flywheel, engage the fan motor assembly with tabs onto the flywheel by turning clockwise till the screw holes on the fan motor assembly align with the holes on the tab of flywheel.(Figure 8) Decorative ring 3.
Hanging the Fan REMEMBER to turn off the power. Follow the steps below to hang your fan properly. NOTE: This fan is recommended for standard ceiling mount using the downrod provided with this fan. When using standard ceiling fan installation with the 6 inch downrod provided, the distance from the ceiling to the bottom of the fan blades will be approximately 14 inches. Standard Ceiling Mounting 1. Remove the canopy ring from the canopy by turning the ring to the right until it unlocks. (Figure 11) 2.
Installing Fan to the Electrical Box WHEN USING THE STANDARD BALL/DOWNROD MOUNTING, THE TAB IN THE RING AT THE BOTTOM OF THE MOUNTING BRACKET MUST REST IN THE GROOVE OF THE HANGER BALL. FAILURE TO PROPERLY SEAT THE TAB IN THE GROOVE COULD CAUSE DAMAGE TO WIRING. 1. Pass the 120-volt supply wires through the center hole in the ceiling mounting bracket as shown in Figure 14. 2. Install the ceiling mounting bracket on the electrical box by using the mounting screws provided with the electrical box.
Installing the Receiver into the Mounting Bracket 1. Position the house supply wires to one side of the slide-on mounting bracket; position the fan wires to the opposite side. 2. Insert the narrow end of the receiver (as shown, flat side toward ceiling) into the slide-on mounting bracket until it rests on top of the ball/downrod assembly. (Figure 16) Wiring the Receiver to the Household Wiring 1. Connect the green wire to the household ground wires using a wire connecting nut. 2.
Finishing the Fan Installation 1. Check that all blade screws are secure. 2. Most fan wobble problems are caused when blade levels are unequal. Check this level by selecting a point on the ceiling above the tip of one of the blades. Measure from a point on the center of each blade to the point on the ceiling. Measure this distance as shown in Figure 19. Rotate the fan until the next blade is positioned for measurement. Repeat for each blade. Measurements deviation should be within 1/8”.
Mounting the remote control holder CFL 0 LEARN D 1 D 1. Remove the battery cover by pressing firmly on the arrow and sliding the cover off. While the fan is on press 8h - turns on a 8 hour run timer. Comfort Breeze (speeds 1-3): Press and release this button to enable the Breeze function, this will change your fan speed randomly (between speeds 1-3), simulating a relaxing breeze.
Care of Your Fan Troubleshooting 1. Because of the fan’s natural movement, some connections may become loose. Check the support connections, brackets, and blade attachments twice a year. Make sure they are secure. (It is not necessary to remove fan from ceiling.) Fan will not start Here are some suggestions to help you maintain your fan. 2.
