ASSEMBLY Assembly requires two people. Set the treadmill m a cleared area and remove all packing materials. Do not dispose of the packing materials until assembly is completed. Assembly requires the Included alien wrenc_ and your own phillips screwdriver (]i_ ==,=- . Note: The underside of the treadmill walking belt is coated with high-performance lubricant. During shipping, a smaU amount of lubricant may be transferred to the top of the walking belt or the shipping carton.
3. Locate the pulse wire in the post on the left Upright (82). Hold a Handrail Extension (85) in the position shown. Insert the pulse wire into the Handrail Extension as you insert the Handrail Extension into the post. Attach the Handrail Extension with three Screws (76). Be careful to avoid damaging the pulse wire. The pulse wire Is used with the optional chest pulse sensor (see page14). 3 - Post 11o Slide a Handrail Foam Grip (110) onto the Handrail Extension (85).
OPERATION THE PERFORMANT AND ADJUSTMENT LUBE TM WALKING BELT Your treadmill features a walking belt coated with PERFORMANT LUBE', a high-performance lubricant. IMPORTANT: Never apply silicone spray or other substances to the walking belt or the walking platform. Suchsubstances will deteriorate the walking belt and cause excessive wear. This product is for use on a nominal 120-volt circuit, and has a grounding plug that looks like the plug illustrated in drawing 1 'below.

Change the incline of the treadmill as desired. Beforeoperatingtheconsole,makesurethatthe on/off switch near the Position On _, power cord is in the on position. Next, make sure that the power cord is properly plugged in (see HOW TO PLUG IN THE POWER CORD on page 8). When you are ready to begin exercising, step onto the foot rails of the treadmill. Find the clip attached to the key (see the drawing on page 9), and slide the clip onto the waistband of your clothing.
