Caution: Product is Fragile. To avoid breakage and
possible injury handle with care!
Installing Pedestal Lavatory
1. Determine the sink position on the wall. If
this is a new installation, remove drywall and
mortise a 2x6 board for suitable reinforcement
behind the finished wall as shown in E above.
Re-Finish the dry wall and paint. Placement of
the wall hanger support, (2), will be determined
by temporarily placing the pedestal lavatory on
top of the pedestal. Support the sink temporarily
with two 2x4 braces cut to proper length
2. With a pencil, mark the location of the pedestal
on the finished floor by tracing around the
pedestal foot. Mark the lavatory height and
sides. If supplied, slide the hanger support up
behind the pedestal lavatory until it contact the
china lavatory and mark the holes with a pencil.
3. Remove the sink and pedestal. Bore pilot holes
into the markings made earlier. These holes
will be used for the lag screws that will hold
the hanger, (2), in place. Note: Models are not

all supplied with lag bolts, anchor screws
and steel hangers. Various lag bolt sizes
for numerous installations are available to
the installer at most local hardware stores.
Secure the lavatory hanger, (1) if available, to
the wall using the appropriate lag bolts and
washers.
4. Install the faucet,(5) onto the lavatory, (3),
per the faucet manufactures instructions.
It is easier to install it before the lavatory
is installed on the pedestal and against the
finished wall.
5. Place the lavatory, (3) on top of the pedestal,
(5) and gently slide back both toward the
wall and to the pedestal outline made on the
finished floor. Lift the lavatory on top of the
hanger, if supplied. Some lavatories have
anchor holes located on the back sides of
the sink, location C above. Lag bolts with
washers sized to fit into these holes should
be installed and tightened to prevent the
lavatory from lifting off the wall. A pilot hole
may need to be drilled to securely anchor
the lag bolts. Make sure the lavatory is
leveled before tightening these bolts.
If anchor holes are present in the pedestal
foot, follow step 6. If not, skip step 6 and
move to step 7.
6. Drill holes through the pedestal foot, (5),
into the finished floor, per (B) above. Anchor
the pedestal leg down to the floor using
washers and lag bolts. (not supplied). See
D. above
7. Connect the drain assembly and trap as
well as the hot and cold water supply lines.
Check for leaks.
