before using it again.
The appliance is defective. Contact our customer service or a
specialist.
The eggs crack. Eggs were not pierced. Pierce the eggs with the egg pricker
on the measuring cup before cook-
ing.
The eggs are not boiled
as hard as desired.
Too little or no water. Fill the measuring cup provided with
cold water and pour the water into
the water tank.
Wrong hardness setting. Turn the control knob to a higher or
lower setting.
Lid not properly placed onto the ap-
pliance.
Check the position of the lid.
The appliance turns off prematurely
due to heavy limescale.
Clean and descale the device
regularly. If heavily limescaled, the
limescale will be hard to remove.
Clean the lid, egg holder and inserts in soapy
water. Dry all parts before storing the device.
Wind up the mains cable on the base of the
appliance.
Always store the appliance out of the reach of
children in a well-ventilated and dry place.
Decalcification
The decalcication intervals depend on the
hardness of the water and the frequency of
use.
If the machine switches off before the water
boils, it probably needs to be decalcied.
Do not use vinegar, but a normal citric acid-
based decalcier. Follow the manufacturers
instructions.
