Menu: Viewing and Configuring Fast-Uplink STP
You can use the menu to quickly display the entire STP configuration and to
make any STP configuration changes.
To View and/or Configure Fast-Uplink STP. This procedure uses the
Spanning Tree Operation screen to enable STP and to set the Mode for fast-
uplink STP operation.
1. From the Main Menu select:
2. Switch Configuration …
4. Spanning Tree Operation
2. In the default STP configuration, RSTP is the selected protocol version.
If this is the case on your switch, you must change the Protocol Version
to STP in order to use Fast-Uplink STP:
• If the Protocol Version is set to RSTP (the default, as shown in this
example, go to step 3.
• If the Protocol Version is set to STP, the rest of the screen will appear
as shown in figure 6-17. In this case, go to step 4 on page 6-37.
