All low voltage cables should be of a suitable screened type for
-volt data transfer.
The Outside Air Sensor (QAC), and optional QAA unit and Hot
Water Sensor (QAZ), all require Low Voltage Cables.
The adjacent table gives guidance on the size of cable required
for the length of cable required.
All low voltage cables should be keep away from mains voltage
cables as much as possible as electrical interference from Mains
Voltage cables will adversely a ect the operation of the boiler and
its controls. The screening of the cables must be earthed.

If weather compensated  ow temperatures are required (recom-
mended for best seasonal e ciency and comfort), then the Outside
Air Sensor must be installed and electrically connected to the boiler.
The Outside Air Sensor MUST be installed on an exterior wall which
is North facing, away from any arti cial heat in uences such as ven-
tilation discharges, lights, etc, and MUST not be installed in direct
sunlight.
The Outside Air Sensor complete with  mm wall  xing and screw
is supplied with the boiler. See Fig ..

The QAA Room Unit Interface (available as an optional extra) not
only provides room temperature control for day set-point, night-time
set-point and frost protection, but also includes individual day pro-
gramming for heating and hot water control, and also displays the
boiler error message, if set to the OpenTherm Plus mode.
With the use of an AGU. Clip-In Module, and additional Heating
Circuit can also be time controlled, see Item ..
For further information concerning installation and programming,
please refer to the separate QAA Installation and Maintenance Manual.

(Part No – .-)
With the use of an AGU.A Clip-In Module, a second heating
zone can be activated.
When used in conjunction with a QAA Room Unit, this second
heating zone can operate under the same temperature dictates as
heating zone , or separately under time control only.
When a QAA Room Unit is NOT being used, the RU connections
(X-) MUST be linked so the time clock for the second heating zone
time clock can be accessible via the boiler fascia.
If a mixing value is required to acco mm odate lower operating tem-
peratures from that of Heating Zone , then a QAD  ow sensor will be re-
quired, available as an optional extra. Please refer to instructions supplied
with the Clip-In Module for programming instructions (Ref. LAGU).
