Operating instructions

Continuous/Burst Transmission:

Continues transmitting until the stop icon is pressed.

Records a measurement as soon as a stable signal is

detected.

Settings: Enter the settings menu.

Stop/Save (Right Button on Transducer):

Stop the current measurement.

Save the current measurement.

Save the current series and continue the measurement.

Start/Snapshot (Left Button on Transducer):

Begin the measurement.

Save the current measurement as displayed on the

screen and continue measuring.

Cursor ON/OFF

Set the cursor position manually, by dragging it to the left or right. The

trigger position may also be adjusted later on the saved waveform in the

Explorer.

Automatic Estimation of Pulse Velocity

Ideally the pulse velocity should be entered manually after having made a

control measurement on an object of known thickness. If this is not pos-

sible, it is possible to estimate the pulse velocity directly on surface of

the test object. Tap on this button and press the transducer against the

surface to make a measurement. The surface velocity will be measured

automatically and stored as the pulse velocity for subsequent B-Scan or

distance measurements.
