Contractor Tip:
Wood-to-Steel Applications: If wood is 1/2” or thinner and steel is 18 gauge or thicker, almost any Self-Drilling
Screw will work. If steel is 20 gauge or less, almost any Sharp-Point Screw will work. If wood is greater than 1/2”
and steel is 18 gauge or thicker, a specialty screw must be used.
