Chapter 6 - GP RUN and Errors

When the GP will not communicate with the host PLC, follow the checklist
below to discover the origin of the problem and find a suitable solution.
Or, if an error message appears on the screen, check the error code (refer to
the Error Message section in this chapter) to find the appropriate solution.

Unplug the GP’s Power Cord.

Is the GP’s Power Cord correctly
connected to the GP?
Connect the power terminals

When using an RS422 cable:
Is the terminating resistor
correctly attached?
Attach the resistor correctly.
A terminating resistor’s usage,
placement location, and resistance
value will vary according the PLC
used.

Was the correct [PLC Type]
selection made in the Screen
Creation software?
Re-designate the PLC type.

Are any tag address settings
incorrect?
Correct the incorrect settings.

Unplug the GP’s Power Cord. Disconnect all other cables connected to the GP.

Reconnect the GP’s Power Cord and
enter the GP’s OFFLINE mode.

settings correct?

Unplug the GP’s Power Cord and check
that the Data Transfer cable is
connected correctly.

Reconnect the GP’s Power Cord and
transfer normal screen data to the GP.

Unplug the GP’s Power Cord and unplug
the GP’s Data Transfer cable. Next,
connect the host (PLC)’s data transfer
cable to the GP.
Be sure only the GP’s Power Cord
and the PLC’s data transfer cable
are connected. 3.2

Reconnect the GP’s Power Cord. Is
data transfer now possible?
If it is not possible, please check
that the PLC’s data transfer settings
are correct. ((S))

Unplug the GP’s Power Cord and check that all cables are correctly connected
to the GP. Next, reconnect the GP’s Power Cord.

Did performing the above actions
solve the problem?
If not, try to confirm which cable is
