Operator Panel
PNE includes a virtual operator panel that simulates all the functions of the
physical operator panel on your printer. See
Table 5 below which lists the
different virtual operator panels.
The layout of the operator panel changes to visually simulate the printer being
used (line matrix or thermal), but the keys and indicators function as
described on
page 118, regardless of the type of printer used.
The virtual operator panel uploads special font tables from the printer and
uses them to match the printer’s actual front panel display. If viewing Asian
language symbols, the virtual operator panel determines and displays the
proper number of lines.
To access the operator panel, select the appropriate printer from the printer
database and then select
ApplicationsOperator Panel
or click the
(operator panel) button.
