AIR can produce high amperages. Protect your turbine with fuses or

circuit breakers. Wire with an appropriate size “slow-blow” fuse or

circuit breaker between AIR and the baeries. If a stop switch is

used, the fuse or circuit breaker should be placed between the

switch and the baeries.

Recommended Sizes for Circuit Breakers or Slow-Blow Fuses are

detailed on Technical Specicaons page. Install in accordance with CEC and

NEC.

Circuit Breaker and Amp Meter can be sourced at local electrical

supply and or Primus oers Wind Control Panel opons. See Ap-

pendix Secon of Manual .

FUSES, CIRCUIT BREAKERS AND AMPMETER

BATTERIES

Deep cycle baeries are required. Types include: ooded lead acid, ab-

sorbed glass mat (AGM), gel cell, NiCad and Lithium Ion baeries. See simple

Sizing Tips for guidelines on baery sizing.

NOTE: An oponal ammeter (somemes called an Amp Meter) is an excellent addion to any system. It allows you to monitor the instantaneous current out-

put of your turbine. IMPORTANT: Place it between your turbine and the baery on the posive lead.

NOTE: Primus Wind Power Inc. oers a combinaon of the above in the “Wind Control Panel” (WCP), available in both analog and digital versions. These

products are designed with a compact surface mount panel and oponal weather resistant enclosure. Th analog and digital control panels contain the stop

switch, circuit breaker and ammeter (Amp Meter). See Appendix C at the back of the owner’s manual for further details.

IMPORTANT: Never use “automove” baeries or any baery other than

“deep-cycle” baeries!
