2. Click Go to Downloads to display the Downloads page:

3. In the WD Quick View box (spelled as one word, click Download.

WD Quick View software installs the WD Quick View icon in the Mac OS X menu bar

or the WD Quick View icon in the Windows task bar so that you can perform

important functions such as launching WD SmartWare (Windows) for checking drive

status quickly. Once installed, you can quickly and conveniently perform the tasks

described in this chapter.

Note: For Windows OS, WD Quick View installs automatically when you install

WD SmartWare. If you don’t install WD SmartWare Software, you can

download it from the online Learning Center.

4. Access your downloaded file, and extract the contents of the zip file to your Mac.

5. Double-click the WD Quick View Setup file.

6. Complete the Quick View installer, following the directions on the page.

7. Right- or left-click the WD Quick View icon in the system tray to display a menu.
