USER MANUAL

1. To find out whether an update is available on the WD web page, click Check for

Updates.

2. If an update does not exist, a message displays. Click OK.

3. If an update exists, click Install and Reboot. MAY NEED HELP GETTING SCREEN

SHOTS, ETC. IF NOT AVAILABLE

When the update is complete, your drive reboots and the Reconnect to Network screen

displays:

4. Follow the on-screen directions to reconnect to the My Passport Wireless drive.

Manual Update

Note: To access the firmware file, you must be connected to a network or

hotspot.

Follow this procedure to perform a manual update:

1. Download the firmware file you need to install on your device from the WD Support

Downloads page at http://support.wd.com/product/download.asp, or click the Online

location of WD My Passport Wireless firmware link.

2. Navigate to the firmware update file and click Open.
