1. Open WD My Cloud on your mobile device and click Connect Now to display the
Welcome screen.
Note: If this is the first time you’ve connected using My Cloud, the Western
Digital End User License Agreement displays.

You can now move content to and from the drive and configure it as desired. See the
My Cloud Help for instructions.
Connecting to a Hotspot
A Wi-Fi or wireless hotspot is an access point that provides network and Internet access to
mobile devices such as a laptop or mobile phone. Hotspots are typically in public locations
like coffee shops, airports, and hotels. For example, if you connect your My Passport
Wireless drive to the Wi-Fi system in a hotel and then connect numerous other devices to
the drive, all devices can securely connect to each other and to the Internet, and you will
only be charged for the initial connection.
Another advantage is that connecting the My Passport Wireless drive to a hotspot gives you
access to your files as well as to the Internet. If you set up a password for your drive during
