2. Do one of the following:
For a Windows PC, in the left pane of the File Explorer window, click Computer >
Downloads > MyPassport (or the name you assigned to the drive).
For a Mac computer, in the left pane of the Finder window in the SHARED section,
double-click MyPassport.
If you set up a shortcut during setup, click Computer > Downloads > and double-
click MyPassport (or the name you assigned to the drive).Same as first bullet?
The drive’s Public folder opens.
3. Drag and drop files from your computer to the Public folder.

HOW do you do this?
Using a USB Connection
If you want to copy over a lot of files, consider using the USB port on your computer, which
can be faster than using the My Passport Wireless Wi-Fi network.
1. Plug one end of the USB cable into the drive and the other end into your computer's
USB port.
Note: When you connect your computer and drive this way, the wireless
connection between the two is disabled.
2. On your computer, open the File Explorer (Windows PC) or Finder (Mac) window.
3. Do one of the following:
For a Windows PC: In the left pane of the File Explorer window, click Computer and
double-click the My Passport Wireless drive.
For a Mac computer: In the left pane of the Finder window in the DEVICES section,
double-click the My Passport Wireless drive.
4. Drag and drop files from your computer to the drive.
Note: Your files reside in two places: on your computer and on the drive.
