Seat Installation
Your power chair uses T-handle detent pins, seat towers, and seat mount connectors to connect the Synergy Seat to the
power base. See figure 11. For more information, refer to the manual supplied with your seating system.
WARNING! Avoid injury! Do not pick up the seat assembly by the armrests. They are free to pivot,
and you may lose control of the seat if they do so, resulting in personal injury or damage to the
chair.
WARNING! Depending on your lifting ability, we recommend that two people remove the seat to
avoid possible damage to the seat or your power chair.
To install the seat:
1. Position the seat directly over the power base so that the seat towers line up with the seat mount connectors. See figure 11.
2. Slide the seat towers down into the seat mount connectors.
3. Align the locating holes in the seat towers with those in the seat mount connectors, and insert the T-handle ball detent
pins through the holes.
To remove the seat:
1. Remove the four (4) T-handle ball detent pins securing the seat to the power base.
2. Allow the seat to rest on the seat mount connectors.
3. Lift the seat directly up. See figure 11.
NOTE: You may find it necessary to rock the seat gently from side to side to free the seat towers from
the seat mount connectors.
