Leisure craft engines are often subject to greater wear

than other engines. The reason is simple: Leisure craft are

frequently run intensively for short periods and then laid

up for long periods. It is therefore especially important to

chose the correct oil, coolant and grease for marine appli-

cations. Not just for economic reasons but also to ensure

safety at sea.

Exhaust cover kit

In order to comply with strict regional noise limitation requirements,

Volvo Penta has developed exhaust cover kits for shields and drives.

The kits are intended for 3.0 and 4.3 petrol engines with SX drive.

Note! Delivered as standard in later versions of 3.0 GS/SX.

Includes: Spacer, cover, screws.

Exhaust block-off kit

The standard exhaust ﬁtting for I/O-engines leads the exhaust through

the drive. If a separate silencer is required, then the exhaust port in the

transom shield must be sealed.

Includes: Cover plate, ﬁttings.

Exhaust riser

An exhaust riser raises the level of the exhaust elbow. This is installed

on vessels with engine installations at or below the water line. The riser

reduces the risk of siphonage back into the engine via the exhaust

system.

Petrol engine oil

Specially developed for high performance en-

gines. The special properties of this oil allow

it to lubricate the engine even during low tem-

perature starting. The oil combats sludge build-

up and gives excellent protection against wear.

Particularly suitable for engines that are subject

to frequent starting and stopping.

Viscosity: SAE 5W-30

Engine oil

VDS-3 covers even more stringent require-

ments on piston cleanliness and bore polish

compared to VDS-2, ensuring the durability

and reliability of the engines. The high quality

of VDS-3 oils allows in certain cases an

increase in drain intervals. Fits both diesel and

gas engines (check operators manual).

OILS

Volvo Penta oils are tested together with its application to match and

interact. The oils contains many protective additives to minimize wear,

mop up soot, sludge and metallic particles, neutralize acids, trap water

and have preservative properties. They are also adapted to the special

demands of low emission engines.

Volvo Penta oils are therefore the best you can give your engine. They

ensure lower operating costs through lower fuel consumption. They

also extend the life of your engine and improve onboard safety.

Synthetic petrol engine oil

A fully synthetic oil for use all year round.

Specially developed for high performance en-

gines. Provides excellent protection against

wear under severe running conditions at both

high and low extremes of temperatures.

Viscosity: SAE 15W-50/SAE 30

Grade: API SJ, ACEA A3/B3
