Recording Videos
You can record videos with the camera, the available
recording time depends on the capacity of the memory card.
Videos can be recorded until the maximum memory capacity
has been reached. However the length of a single video may
be limited (the limitation depends on the camera model).
1. Press the Movie button to start recording.
2. Focus your camera on the subject that you want to take.
3. Use the Zoom dial to zoom in and zoom out an image.
4. To stop recording, press the Movie button.
• The camera will automatically stop recording when the memory capacity is full.
• It will automatically stop recording when the recording time is over 29 minutes or
the file size is over 4 GB.
• It will automatically stop recording when the recording time is over 30 seconds (For
VGAp120).
• Only Optical zoom is available while recording a video (please enable Optical zoom
under Record menu before recording).
• Sound cannot be recorded while using zooms (Spinning the Zoom dial.)
• Power save is not available in video recording or pause recording. If pause recording
to 5 minutes, auto stop recording to prevent camera overheating.
• When the temperature of CMOS Sensor is over 63ºC, the camera will display the
warning message.
• When the temperature of CMOS Sensor is over 65ºC, the camera will shutdown
automatically.
PIV function
During the movie recording, an icon displays on LCD means that the current screen can be stored as
a photo without stopping movie recording by full pressing the shutter button. The PIV feature only
applicable to movie size: 1080p30, 720p30 and VGAp30.
• When the movie size is 1080p (30fps), the capture photos are saved at 1920 x 1080
resolution.
• When the movie size is 720p (30fps), the capture photos are saved at 1280 x 720
resolution.
• When the movie size is VGA (30fps), the capture photos are saved at 640 x 480
resolution.
